I’m beginning to sound like a broken record here but I just want to let you know that, due to problems at this end, the publication of some comments is still being delayed.
A solution is in sight, however, so hopefully this situation won’t last much longer.
Good morning Island Bloggers! Thank you for your patience recently in the delays in publishing your posts and comments. We have had a tidal wave of spam over the past month or so and are struggling to keep it under control. The silver lining is that our techie team are working on a spam filter which will hopefully be implemented within the next week or two. Again, your patience is appreciated - please just hang on a little longer and it will be worth it!
The end is nigh … well, hopefully for spam anyway. Work begins in earnest this week on the new spam filter so it should be in place very soon. Until then I’m afraid there’s still going to be a delay in publishing comments on the site. In the meantime please bear with us as we wade through it all.
Of course, the matter’s not been helped by the fact that I’ve been off a lot lately, leaving my colleagues to take time from their own sites to look after Island Blogging. Thanks to them and to you for your patience.
A combination of being out of the office lately and dealing with the spam problem meant that I only came across Stromness Dragon’s blog, Goodbye to Chris, this morning. I was sorry to read of Chris’ death and would like to pass on my condolences to his family.
Apologies to those who left comments for the blog which have not been published until today.
Mountainman’s postings, and in particular Ardmore again, beautiful day, inspired Carol to send over some photos for inclusion in IB. She says MM’s snaps reminded her of the Coromandel township and peninsula in New Zealand.
Happy to oblige… (eventually!)
Enjoy your weekend.
Anne :)
