I once saw the Searchers live (first time round) in Manchester. Isn't it amazing that some of these old bands - and there seem to be plenty of them - are still making a living? Heh heh heh (waves walking stick in time to music).

Carol, Don't throw your love away, I've got Sweets for my sweet, sugar for my honey. Oh now I've got Needles and Pins.

The Searchers look both respectable and still in good shape. And if their rendition of their oldies is close to the original, then thanks and more power to them.

Oh Carol from IBHQ, my moans, groans and other asides notwithstanding, thanks a lot for your hard work. May you have wonderful weather in Glasgow, and an unstressful, productive remaining half of the week.

You are really showing your age Jill ( I had to ask FC's fpu, what you were on about) Sit down, drink your Cocoa, and I'll put your Red Pen to bed, nighty night..
Tws from No More Searching
Jill, whatever her age might be, carries it lightly, sprightly, with verve. She even does the cancan when appropriate though she draws the line - unlike some aficionados of The Coll such as Squidgy - at throwing her teddy around.

they didn't sing "needles and pins" how unfortfuel are men?
carol from packing my bags
P.S. there is a drummer as well - i'm so bad with the camera didn't put him in

TWS::: do you really think "i throw my love away?? Jilll ssshhhttt you're showing your age---like me when i ot people up to dance on monday----fc's fpu has the snaps---they really were great unlike "deep purple" last may--and whats more it was a free concert--they sang again on tuesday night wich people had to pay for--how silly of them---LONG LIVE THE SIXTIES"" TWS--NO COMMENTS! thank you
the weather girl from where do you think??
"Cheeky sod!" says fpu "and isn't it nice to see pensioners keeping busy and gainfully occupied." I am told she can't remember a single song by the Searchers...but the Seekers...well that's a whole different ballgame.
Flying Cat from Pierrot&Columbine
Thanks for your kind words mjc. I almost got blown away coming to work this morning. There is talk of snow which is very exciting.
Carol from IBHQ
Has Carol ( the one from France, who is in NZ just now, but I can't remember why? Not the IBHQ Carol, who likes Spam pieces) been drinking the local water again? I'd like to wish FC's fpu a speedy recovery from "The Snaps" whatever that is, possibly a womans problem? Lastly did Carol miss out a vowel when Jill ( look only 2 l's) was showing her age ( thankfully, that was all she was showing) Have a nice day now.
Tws from A Distant Drum
I don't know about you, Carol, but I would say that FC's fpu is pushing her luck a bit in her last comment ... The Seekers - need I say more?
Jill from EK
Is this where I don't comment about female staffs liking for Rainbow and bands of that ilk?????
mia from sniggering at the pc
Were Zippy and Bungle members of Rainbow?
Flying Cat from ancient telly archives
female staff reluctantly informs me that she is older than you think and couldn't abide the telly Rainbow, please think more along the lines of Ritchie Blackmore....
mia from purrondering at the pc
Yes...I see what you mean mia...
