Wandering comments

The change in month has brought a reinvigorated spam filter with the result that some comments are, once again, taking a detour enroute to being published. We are still taking the added step of rounding up as many of these non-appearing comments each day as possible and helping them along the way.

If your comment doesn't appear on Island Blogging during the day and provided it doesn't contravene the House Rules then it's likely that it will be there the following day.

Please bear with us in the meantime. We are aware of the issue and are monitoring it. As always, you can email IBHQ via islandblogging@bbc.co.uk

Comments

A few of my comments have gone AWOL, but maybe that's not a bad thing after all....

Tws from The IT Dept.

It's a crying shame Tws, you know how me and m'Marmalade Chum look forward to your comments. Don't you...

Thanks for update.

I'll be posting again on this again soon. Be assured that we're still tinkering under the bonnet of IBHQ to find a solution.

You'll get a bad back if you don't straighten up soon...

The filter must be growing in girth: such a voracious appetite, which seems to increase as the year progresses.

So many witty and erudite comments sunk to the very bottom of the blogosphere...Ah've ma heid in ma paws wi despair, as Hermit might not say.

Ok, IBHQ, if you were a washing machine after care service I would demand a new machine, if you were a garage that had repaired my car I would be demanding a free service and 4 new tyres, if you were a restaurant I would be writing a complaint in the local rag. THIS IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Comments and blogs are supposed to appear within an hour or two, not be lost in cyber world forever. Ditch the new spam filter and get a better one!

Ruthodanort from Unst

We're investigating ways to improve the process Ruthodanort. Having any comments go missing is not an ideal situation at all. As far as I'm aware, comments have been affected by this situation and not posts. If you have had any posts go amiss, let me know the details and I will follow it up at this end. The email is islandblogging@bbc.co.uk As ever, thanks for you patience. I know it has been tested with the overactive filter.

Carol from IBHQ

Can you get tablets for that?

Flying Cat from a sphignomometer

End of February and still postings missing. The site is as bad as it's ever been. It's hardly worth making the effort to post

Work is ongoing to resolve these issues Calum. Comments are picked up each day and helped along their way on to the site. See the 'Spring is in the air?'' post from IBHQ for more detail on this.
