The weather in Norway is very nice. The summer has come. April was wet, windy and cold, but May so far has been amazing.
I can't remember such an early summer. The grass and the trees are green. The sheep and lambs are enjoying themselves, plenty of grass and sunshine. They like to rest in the shadows in the middle of the day.
When the sheep are having a good time, so do I. Every sheep farmer in the south-west of Norway looks very happy. The lambing went very well. We got many triplets. In Norway it is usual that a sheep is only one-year-old when they lamb for the first time.
I took one brown tiny lamb with me to school and showed it to the pupils. It was only 12 hours old and the pupils loved it. One sheep won't let her lamb have some milk, so it has a rope around its neck. Then I can grab the beast and hold it still.
This summer my wife, daughter and I are going to Orkney. I have become a true Island-friend (after I get to know Island Blogging).
We will arrive on July 14th and stay until the 18th. We hope to meet some of you bloggers.
So to everyone, have a nice summer.
Kind regards,
Dag

Hello Dag, Norway looks so lovely. The little brown lamb is very cute, no wonder the children loved him (or her). Thanks for sharing your photos.

pity norway is such a long way from the Hebrides ... that little brown lambie with the white fluff on his head would've been perfect for me to look after ...!
We had this early summer on Lewis last year too, as well as this year ... The actual summer itself, in July and August was actually quite brief ...
soaplady from I could do that ... :-)
The wee brown lambie's frothy white wig is very fetching...quite a sheepish fashion statement!
