Season 1

We first met Angela doubting Peter's claim that he had special abilities. But it soon became clear that Angela was a key player in the previous generation of heroes. She supported the plan to destroy New York and worked alongside Linderman. She wanted Nathan to be the man the country turned to after the disaster. She also knew that Nathan's biological daughter, Claire, had survived the fire but she let Nathan believe she was dead. The Haitian protected Claire under Angela's orders.

Season 2

Angela was devastated that Peter was dead, and things got a lot worse when she was implicated in the murder of Kaito Nakamura. Luckily for her she was cleared and the real murderer, Adam Monroe, was found.

Season 3

Following the death of Bob, Angela took charge of The Company. Secrets started to emerge and we discovered that Sylar was her son, although this was later proved a lie. In the Volume 3 finale, Angela was taken hostage by Sylar. She knew who his real parents were, but as Sylar was stabbed in the back of the head by Claire, the secret remained safe. In Volume 4 Angela teamed up with H.R.G to take down Nathan's plan from the inside. Acting on a vision, she worked to bring her family back together, directing them to Coyote Sands where she revealed her darkest secret. She had once lived there, with her sister Alice. It was also there that The Company was founded. Her story pulled the rest of her family together to fight back against Sylar's new reign of terror. After he killed Nathan, she talked Matt into wiping Sylar's mind, forcing Sylar to take on Nathan's persona.

Season 4

Disturbing visions of Sylar bothered Angela, and worried that the evil was re-emerging, she tried to get Matt to fix it, but he refused. Taking it upon herself she gave Nathan some old belongings to try and jog his memory. But it worked too well and she had to confess that she covered up the accidental death of his old girlfriend. At Thanksgiving Angela finally admitted the truth that Nathan had died at the hands of Sylar, but she insisted that nothing had to change. This triggered a return from Sylar who very nearly killed both Peter and Angela. Luckily a weakened Nathan was able to suppress Sylar. In the end, at Nathan's funeral, Angela was confronted with the horrible truth that her son was finally dead. Clinging to Peter she asked Claire to look out for him, her one remaining child. A worried Angela went to Peter and told him of her premonition that Emma would help to kill thousands of people through her music.
