Season 1
Micah went on the run with his mum Niki when she couldn't repay a debt borrowed from Linderman. To repay the debt, Linderman demanded that Micah reprogramme the voting machines so that Nathan Petrelli could win by a landslide. DL and Niki confronted Linderman after he snatched Micah, but his dad DL was shot. Niki managed to use her superhuman strength to save Micah.
Season 2
After DL's death, Niki dropped Micah off in New Orleans with his new guardian, Nana Dawson. Niki wanted to give him the chance of a normal life with DL's family. But there was nothing normal about the Dawsons. When Monica's power began to appear, Micah was on hand to help. Feeling a connection with his elder cousin, he went to her for help in retrieving his stolen backpack. However, Monica became trapped in a burning warehouse. Micah got his mum to save Monica, but then she became trapped herself - then the house exploded - and Niki was killed instantly.
Season 3
Micah was still in New Orleans, when he met his aunt, Tracy, who had decided to visit to get some answers. Micah decided to help her, and through tracing computer records, he found a link to Dr Zimmerman, which in turn revealed that Tracy was his mother's sister. In Volume 4, Micah was revealed to be aiding other Heroes under the guise of 'Rebel'. He helped Tracy escape from Building 26, but they were tracked down and Tracy sacrificed herself so that he could escape. Micah was almost captured by The Hunter when the power to his building was cut. However Sylar acted as a decoy to fake Micah's death and Rebel escaped once more.
