Season 3
The Speedster stole a valuable family secret, a formula, from Hiro with her superhuman speed. Finding her a useful asset, Linderman (really Maury Parkman in disguise working for Arthur Petrelli) recruited Daphne to Pinehearst. She was instructed to recruit Matt, but when she met him she learnt they had a future together. She kept Arthur updated on Matt's movements, but when Matt used his ability to get into Angela's head, Daphne worried about him and got pulled in herself. She then had to confess to her duplicity, but admitted she loved Matt. Running away to her Kansas home, she made peace with her dad. Matt found her there and, during the abilities-removing eclipse, discovered her secret - that without her powers she had Cerebral Palsy. Matt told her that he forgave her for everything and they were reunited. At the end of Volume 3, Daphne, Matt and Ando found Isaac's sketchbook and discovered that Hiro was lost in time. Daphne stole Mohinder's formula and Ando super-charged her speeding abilities so that she could travel faster than time. Daphne went back 16 years to rescue her former nemesis Hiro and helped him take the formula from Pinehearst and destroy it once and for all. In Volume 4, Daphne was trying to live a normal life with Matt. She found Ando in Japan and brought him to Arkansas. She rescued Claire, but was shot by The Hunter's men on the hillside, as depicted in Matt's drawing. But not even a bullet could keep The Speedster down - Matt discovered that Daphne was alive! However, she was injured, in pain, sedated and being held in an unknown location. Matt rescued her from Building 26 and took her to a hospital - her gunshot wound was dangerously infected. She woke up to find herself surrounded by balloons, as Matt had convinced everyone that she was Gwen Stefani. She ran away to Paris, but Matt found her and revealed he could fly. As they flew together over Paris, she realised she'd never woken up at all. She was in fact still in hospital, where she died of the infection, her hand in Matt's.
