Season 1
Niki lived in Las Vegas with her gifted son, Micah. She was forced to make ends meet as an internet stripper, after her husband DL was sent to prison. She ended up on the run when she couldn't pay Linderman the money she owed him. Niki came to realise that her alter ego, Jessica, stepped in when Niki was in trouble. Jessica was part of Niki's split personality and had super-human strength. Jessica became an assassin for Linderman, but Linderman took Micah as he wanted to use his ability to rig voting machines so Nathan won the election. Niki and DL phased into Linderman's office at Kirby Plaza to get Micah back. He tried to buy off Jessica, and she admitted she wanted the money. But Niki took control and Linderman fired at her. DL jumped in the way and took the bullet. DL then killed Linderman. Niki then began fighting with Jessica who, this time, was really Candice, the shape shifter. Niki found the strength to defeat her and saved Micah. They headed outside and Niki helped Peter fight Sylar.
Season 2
Niki was in New Orleans and dropped Micah off with DL's family. It was their chance for a normal life. Things didn't quite go to plan for her, and she ended Season 2 trapped inside an exploding burning building which killed her.
