I'm Christine Wadsworth, Senior Cultural Officer: Local Studies, for Wakefield Metropolitan District Libraries and Information Services. The Library Service enrolled as an Associate Centre for the 大象传媒 WW2 People's War Project and events such as story gathering sessions, exhibitions, and ICT taster sessions were held during 2004/2005 at the Bullenshaw Day Centre, Hemsworth, at Library Headquarters, Balne Lane, Wakefield, the Airedale Centre, Airedale and in Ackworth, Altofts, Castleford, Featherstone, Flanshaw, Hemsworth, Horbury, Kettlethorpe, Normanton, Ossett, Outwood, Pontefract, Sandal, South Elmsall, Stanley, Upton, and Walton Libraries
We are very grateful for the help and involvement of library staff, FOCAL (Friends of Castleford Library), Friends of Ossett Library, volunteers, experts and local people with a story to tell who have put time and effort into making this project a success.
