Culture and Leisure services including DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery, all 38 public libraries in County Durham, Killhope (North of England Leadmining Museum), Durham Record Office and Arts Development.

Some activities we have planned include:
Coffee mornings, talks, themed workshops with schools, exhibitions, book displays, literature development sessions (reading and writing groups), transport and support for housebound readers to visit libraries and DLI museum to recount and digitise stories, DLI ‘Homefront and Recall’ picnic and free entry, Military vehicle rally, involving DLI veterans, involving Durham University, art workshops, WW2 object handling, involving local history and other community groups

We have 40 sites and over 200 free Internet access machines for you to input your stories and photographs. Support for people to access and log on to the People’s War site at all venues. Additional help available at times with use of volunteers or special events to help people write the stories and scan/upload images. Details on request.
