Worst Wipeout: A solid 6ft day in Cordama, SW Portugal. Paddling for a set wave, decided at the last minute I was going too late and tried to pull out.... Uh uuuh, I don't think so - over the falls we go!! Did the whole inside section underwater and was deposited pretty much on the beach, coughing, spluttering, red-of-face but glad to be alive!
Favourite Manoeuvre: Currently working on me cutbacks (that, and standing up... haha!!)
Worst Surfing Habit: Going too late on tres hollow waves and getting farkin mangled!!
Best Surfing Experience: Surfing Zavial in SW Portugal, Sept 05. Too many hammerings to count, but also had some awesome tubular intensity - myself, hoop and cheese!
Weirdest Surfing Experience: Portugal, Sept 05. Walked into a bar in Lagos (30 miles from where we were staying/surfing), only to be recognised by some totally random guy at the bar - turns out Hooper had dropped in on him earlier that day down the beach... un-be-lie-vable!
Other Interests: Anything to do with the sea. Sport - squash, cricket, footy, rugby, running. Music - pretty much anything, especially Bob Dylan and 90's Britpop and socialising. I also enjoy playing on kiddies JCB diggers - see pic.
