This is a collection of memories from the people of Amber Valley. These were all recorded as part of the 'People's War comes to Amber Valley' Project. Which was funded through Derbyshire County Council's Adult Education Service and the Derbyshire Learning and Skills Council.

The Derbyshire Adult Education Service has various centres throughout Amber Valley who have taken part in this project, these include:

Alfreton Hall Adult Community Education Centre, Alfreton.

Belper Adult Community Education Centre, Belper.

The Bridge Centre,Langley Mill.

Ironville, Derbys.

Peverel House Adult Community Education Centre, Codnor.

Derbyshire Adult Education would like to thank everyone who contributed and helped to create a legacy of memories for future generations, who, without this input would have little understanding of what life was really like during and around the second world war.
