Lana Del Rey is coming to Radio 1 and TBH we're quite excited

Lana Del Rey will be on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show next week and we're literally sobbing into our digital streams of Lust For Life at the thought of it.

Will she ride up in the lifts like a normal person? Will she have a cup of tea in the kitchen? Will we brush past her in the corridor? ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Calming down a touch (pls breath), Radio 1 have loved Lana for a very long time and we've rubbed shoulders a various points during her career.

Here are some of our favourite moments - and one from Radio 2's Jo Whiley which we are not at all jealous about.

Lana's Video Games performance in Hackney

Lana first came to attention (in a very very big way) with her single Video Games in 2011.

A year later, Lana accepted our invitation to an afternoon out in East London for 2012 Big Weekend in Hackney, where she performed her breakthrough hit for thousands of fans.

Lana's first Radio 1 Live Lounge performance

The same year, Lana visited the Radio 1 Live Lounge and showed her indie side when she covered Kasabian's Goodbye Kiss, turning their anthem into a wistful ballad as only Lana can.

Fearne Cotton - Lana Del Rey Interview

Fearne interviews Lana Del Rey in the Live Lounge

She had a joyous chat with Fearne Cotton when she talked about her debut album being her own "personal masterpiece".

Hun, it's a masterpiece for all of us.

Lana's 2015 Live Lounge performance

First, please allow us to apologise for those curtains. The Live Lounge looks kinda nice now (we think) but this was not our greatest moment of interior design.

PS. Kudos to the photographer for asking the ACTUAL Lana Del Rey to go out on the street to have her photo taken on a pavement.

Lana's magnificent appearance in Hull

Clearly not put off by the drapes debacle, Lana joined us in Hull this year for a performance at Big Weekend 2017.

She smashed it, even without the help of the song's original co-star, The Weeknd.

She even did a little dance.

Lana's interview with our friends at Radio 2

Lana Del Rey on her new single 'Love' and joining forces with Miles Kane!

Jo chats to Lana Del Rey about her new record 'Love' and working with TLSP's Miles Kane.

Lana chatted with Jo on her very brilliant show when she returned to the pop world with her single Love in February.

She was in the studio with Miles Kane (of all people!) when the two had a chat on the phone for Radio 2.

Bonus: Remember when Miley Cyrus covered Lana?

Pre Malibu-era Miley, the US star gave us a spectacular cover of Lana's Summertime Sadness.

Summertime Sadness is arguably Lana's biggest hit, thanks (in part) to Cedric Gervais’s dance remix. Miley performed the slower, more atmospheric original, we're pleased to say.
