5 things we learned about Lana Del Rey from her chat with Grimmy

It's official: gets all the best jobs, including - but most definitely not limited to - cosying up to Lana Del Rey and getting the scoop on everything from her dedicated fans to her feelings about London.

The sultry superstar swung by Nick's studio this AM and dished on all the important stuff. Here are 5 pretty major things we learned about the smoothest crooner in the biz...

1. She still gets nervous before shows

Yup, even a seasoned pro like Lana gets the nervous feels when it comes to taking to the stage.

Speaking about her most recent gig at Brixton Academy (her first London show in a whopping four years), Lana revealed that superstars aren't immune to the jitters: "It was good. It was a lot for me because I feel like I made Born To Die, the full record, in London. I spent years here. And then I haven't really played here - I did Glastonbury, I played my little set in Hull but haven't played in the middle of London in so long so I was kind of nervous but I love that venue."

As for her Brixton show? We think it's safe to say that it went down a storm. Just a hunch.

2. She's super tight with her fans

If you're a die hard Lana Del Rey fan and you've ever wondered if your idol has ever noticed you, wonder no more. Chatting to Grimmy about the familiar faces at her Brixton show, the Video Games singer surprised Nick with this revelation:

"It was really fun and I saw so many faces I knew - kids I've seen over the past five years."

Still need definitive proof that Lana has the lowdown on her fandom? Here it is... "Oh yeah, I know them all. Well, at least 25 of them. Also we saw them - we took the Eurostar from Paris to here and they were at the train station too, so I knew who was coming. They gave me a heads up."

3. The question she's asked most by fans is sort of surprising

What do Lana Del Rey’s fans always ask her?

About her hair, every time… and they like it big!

It's no secret that Lana's hair is the envy of, well, everyone. But that didn't stop Grimmy being floored with Lana revealed that her most-asked fan question is about those famous tresses.

"They usually ask me about my hair. They've got a lot of opinions about the height of it."

What's their preferred Lana Del Rey haircut, exactly? "High, just high. Really big." We second that, TBH.

4. Her tour rider is pretty low key

Jay-Z's famously included a late model Maybach while Cher has, in the past, requested an entire room dedicated to her many, many wigs, but Lana Del Rey's rider is a little more (OK, a lot more) low key.

"I ask for a kettle and water and ginger. Do we have anything else? Oh, pizza!" As for the pizza topping? That's still to be confirmed, but we dig Lana's sweet and simple approach to tour life.

5. London feels like her second home

After chatting about Born To Die and her ties to London, Lana confirmed what we hoped was true: London feels like her second home. How about you, y'know, move here permanently, Lana? No? Okay. Anyway, here's what she had to say about her affinity for the UK...

"It's probably my number two place that feels like home. That's why I don't always like to play, because it's so weird. It's like playing in New York; it's too real. That being said, I do think I'm going to do a couple of UK shows coming up. Hopefully in Liverpool and Glasgow in the next month."

Did you hear that, guys? LANA'S COMING TO THE UK!
