The unexpected places you may have seen the stars of Radio 1
They hit the studio day in, day out to grace your air-waves with the biggest tracks and the best guest stars. Who are we talking about? The DJs, of course.
But what do your faves get up to when they're not on a mission to bring you a definitive track list of the best music in the biz? From groundbreaking podcasts to headlining Glasto, here are some places you may not expect to see them on their days off’...
Dev
Beginning his career as DJ Devstar on 大象传媒 Two's 'Smile' back in 2002, alongside Reggie Yates and Fearne Cotton (and who can forget Nev, the blue bear?), quickly ascended the ranks and bagged radio gigs aplenty.
Later that year, he started co-presenting with childhood pal, Reggie, on before scoring Radio 1 weekend slot. It's safe to say that Dev is a busy guy, but not even that has stopped him from donning his chef whites and cooking up a storm in the 2017 kitchen. He has recently been announced as one of the aspiring celebrity chefs who'll be hitting the kitchen in the next series.
From serving up fresh tunes to serving up even fresher dishes, Dev's got a lot on his, erm, plate this year. Catch his cooking skills on 大象传媒1 later in the summer.
Scott Mills
The first Radio 1 DJ to hit the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom floor, cha-cha'd up a storm back in 2014 before being voted off the show in week six.
A self-confessed super-fan, you might've more recently caught Scott providing semi-final commentary alongside GBBO's Mel Giedroyc before hosting the 2017 Eurovision Party.

He also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016. We can't think why he didn't win with moves like these...
Clara Amfo
She bossed her hosting duties at this weekend's Glasto fest but that's hardly surprising considering extensive presenting history. They go a little something like this...
Starting out on Nickelodeon, Clara went on to present on C大象传媒 before making her way to Radio 1Xtra in 2013 and Radio 1 in 2015. You'll also catch the jack of all trades regularly presenting backstage at the BRITs and carrying out red carpet duties.
But if you think even a pro like Clara doesn't get nervous when it comes to new jobs, think again. Speaking of the day she was asked to replace Fearne Cotton as host of the Live Lounge and weekday slot, Clara said she had reservations galore:
"In my mind I was just like 'no, I can't do it'. That's all I was thinking. And even though it was such a great opportunity and such a moment, my initial reaction, to be honest, was to just run out of the door."
Nick Grimshaw
From co-hosting early days Freshly Squeezed alongside bezzie Alexa Chung (throwing it back to 2007!) to taking a seat as part of the judging panel during the twelfth series of The X Factor, has been a firm fixture on our TV and radio for a whopping 10 years - including a show called , alongside Radio 1's Annie Mac.
And some of his appearances in that time were more subtle than others.
But like that wasn't enough for his extensive CV, the DJ has also racked up a couple of major movie cameo appearances. As the voice of Dr. Brad Scott in Wreck It Ralph and as *drum roll, please* himself in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. Not bad, Grimmy. Not bad at all.
鈥淪hall we do Strictly together?鈥 鈥 Emma Willis makes Grimmy the offer of a lifetime
What we would give to see these two grace the dance floor!
And, if Emma Willis has anything to do with it, we'll see Nick appearing on before too long.
"What!? Is it real?" - Kristen Wiig inspects Grimmy's Bridesmaids tattoo
Weird or not weird?
True story: when Nick isn't partaking in extra-curricular activities, he's watching the 2011 comedy Bridesmaids over and over and over and over and - well, you get the gist - again. He's even got a quote from the movie permanently inked on his bod. Check it for yourself...
Alice Levine
How many people can boast a podcast with over 50 million downloads? At least three, actually: and her two pals, Jamie Morton and James Cooper. Yup, one of your weekend faves is part of the trio behind the acclaimed podcast, My Dad Wrote A...
But prior to racking up those downloads, Alice co-hosted Big Brother's Bit On The Side (fun fact: Alice has been one of the voices of Big Brother, making announcements in the house and chatting to contestants in the diary room) and, more recently, presented the 大象传媒 show . Catch it on , stat.

Annie Mac
Which Radio 1 DJ headlined the John Peel Stage at this year's ? (real name: Annie MacManus), that's who. We're pretty confident when we say that we think it went well...

Greg James
True story: at 14 years old, pestered his local hospital radio station to give a show and, eventually, they relented. But - plot twist - the the transmitter was broken and Greg's beloved show was never actually broadcast. That's gotta hurt, right?
Greg James on Dr Who Confidential
Behind the scenes at Doctor Who as Greg films his starring role, helped by James Corden and the Dr Who confidential team.
Fast forward twelve years and Greg has bagged himself the Radio 1 Drivetime show slot. What's he been up to inbetween that time? Oh no biggie, really. Just fronted the cricket coverage for BT Sports, hosted the closing ceremony of The Invictus Games, had a cameo role in Doctor Who and interviewed his childhood hero Dwayne Johnson.
