are back and we'll be bringing you collections of iconic tracks whether the sun is shining or not.

We kicked things off this week with our One Hit Wonders Volume 1 playlist (we've got another three to come), which is packed full of guilty pleasures and classic anthems you forgot you loved.

But what happened to the artists behind the tracks included? Here's where they are now and what was next for the performers of some of the most unforgettable tunes of a generation.

The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love

I Believe In A Thing Called Love is not The Darkness's only hit, but it is the tune these British glam-rockers will be remembered for.

In fact, they scored six Top ten hits between 2003 and 2006. Sadly, mainstream success came to an end but the band continue to make music to this day and will release their fifth album, Pinewood Smile, later in 2017. They are also working on a documentary about life in The Darkness.

The band has changed their line-up several times during their career, but at present, three members are from their original line-up.

Lumidee - Never Leave You (Uh Oh)

Lumidee's 2003 hit Never Leave You (Uh Oh) is an all-time classic, but not many people know her follow-up single Crashing A Party (or, sadly her other singles).

However, the Harlem-born singer and rapper continued to make music and guested on several hits by dancehall artists, most recently in 2014.

Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles

Vanessa Carlton has released five albums during her 15 year music career, but the singer enjoyed her mainstream peak with her iconic debut single in 2002.

A Thousand Miles was a worldwide smash in 2002, thanks to its unforgettable piano riff and the video - which sees Vanessa being driven across America on her piano.

She sold over a million copies of her debut album, thanks to this one enormous hit single.

SWV - Right Here

Right Here is SWV's only UK Top Ten hit, but the nineties girl group enjoyed more chart success in America.

The Human Nature remix went global in 1993, thanks in part to a Michael Jackson sample and an uncredited vocal from Pharrell Williams (one of his first appearances).

SWV split in 1998 but reunited in 2011, going on to release two albums and star in a reality TV show about their return.

Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5

If there’s one song guaranteed to get your gran on the dancefloor at a wedding, it's Lou Bega's Mambo No. 5, a re-written cover of a 1949 track.

There were no follow-up hits for the German artist, sadly, and his last single Give It Up, was released in 2013. It seems like he took his own advice.

J-Kwon - Tipsy

J-Kwon's 2004 rap hit Tipsy is a sure-fire party-starter to this day but sadly after this iconic hit, the St. Louis rapper struggled to repeat the success.

He has released four albums but in the years since his one and only hit single, is probably better known for being dissed by better known rappers such as Odd Future and Pusha T.

Crazy Town - Butterfly

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

Crazy Town had only one real hit, their 2000 hit Butterfly, but frontman 'Shifty Shellshock' can claim two hits, having also guested on Paul Oakenfold's Starry Eyed Surprise in 2002.

The frontman battled drug addiction after the band's peak and appeared on four reality TV shows in an attempt to beat his problems.

Crazy Town reunited for a new album in 2015 and are currently working on their fourth record.

Junior Senior - Move Your Feet

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

Junior Senior made the most of their one and only big hit, as Move Your Feet has been heard on countless TV shows, movies and videos games in the years since it was a huge UK hit in 2002.

It is just as well, because despite some strong follow-up tunes (especially on their second album) it was the only hit this Danish duo ever scored. Still a classic though.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

Crazy was not the only hit Gnarls Barkley scored, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who remembered Smiley Faces or Gone Daddy Gone ahead of this 2006 smash.

The song brought Cee-Lo Green and producer Danger Mouse to international attention and acclaim and while Gnarls Barkley was a short-term project, both stars have gone on to huge solo success.

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

Eiffel 65 are probably responsible for one of pop music's most memorable and nonsensical choruses in their lyrics "I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa."

The 1999 song was a No.1 hit all over the world, including the UK, and while the Italian group's second single Move Your Body was also a minor hit, this is the hit they will be remembered for.

17 years later, the band is still going and released a new single, Panico, in 2016.

Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate

(Warning: Third party video may contain adverts)

Shanks & Bigfoot only scored one major hit, but what a hit it was. Sweet Like Chocolate was a UK No.1 single, winning a MOBO award and picking up BRIT Awards and Ivor Novello nominations.

More recently, it was covered by former N-Dubz singer and X Factor judge Tulisa in 2016, but the song failed to chart.
